Claus-Peter Hälsig currently holds the position of Vice President Process & Technology for Fluor in Europe, Russia/CIS, Middle East and Africa and is located in Haarlem, The Netherlands.
He has over 30 years of experience in all aspects of hydrocarbon processing in the refining and petrochemical industries, covering catalysis, new process developments, clean fuels and bio-fuels, energy efficiency and sustainability / renewable aspects, residue upgrading, refining-petrochemical interface to technical service and engineering.
Before he joined Fluor in 1993 he worked for nearly 15 years with BP in Germany and the UK, providing technical service to the refineries and refining-petrochemical complexes worldwide.
He holds a Dr.-Ing. degree of the Technical University of Darmstadt in Germany and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry in the UK.

Duane Newman is the lead director of Tax Management Consulting in South Africa which focuses on government grants and incentives, tax technology and sustainability and climate change.
He is firmwide leader for the Sustainability and Climate Change practice which specifically focuses on carbon credits, carbon tax, sustainability strategy and reporting, and represents Africa on the Deloitte global leadership team of the Sustainability and Climate Change practice
Duane is a board member of the American Chamber of Commerce in South Africa and regularly represents Deloitte on various speaking platforms on carbon tax, government grants and incentives and climate change issues.
He is regularly quoted in the radio and print media on these topics.

Gawie du Preez was appointed during October 2009 as the Executive: Absa Cash Solutions (ACS) responsible for Cash end-to-end within Absa.
As the Accountable Executive for Absa Cash Solutions he is responsible to position and direct Cash as a value adding provider to the Absa Group to ensure maximum stakeholder value over the medium to long term. He will be accountable for: Risk Management, Successful Business Transformation Management, Effective Operations / Product management as well as Efficient and effective application and utilisation of resources within the business unit.
Absa Cash Solutions is responsible to process of distributing, moving, collecting, counting, reconciling, settling and managing physical cash and related documents. Absa Cash Solutions manages vault inventory and facilitates the movement of cash to and from customers, branches, ATM’s and central bank.

David Sineke is currently responsible for International Research and Analysis at Engen Petroleum and has a passion for African and International oil affairs.
With a background in Human Resource development he has previously been employed by Denel (LIW Division) as well as several other major corporations in South Africa.
He has an executive MBA from the UCT Graduate School of Business as well as holding a Witwatersrand University qualification in Development Program in Oil Studies.

Avhapfani (Fani) Tshifularo is the Executive Director of the South African Petroleum Industry Association (SAPIA), where he is responsible for the day- to-day leadership of the organisation and for its effective management. SAPIA members are BP, Chevron, Engen, Sasol, Shell, Total and PetroSA. SAPIA represents the collective interests of the South African petroleum industry.
As part of his role at SAPIA, Fani also serves as Non-Executive Director at the South African Supplier Development Agency (SASDA). He is a member of the Institute of Directors, American Society of Association Executives &The Center for Association Leadership and BoardSource (National Center for Nonprofit Boards).
Prior to joining SAPIA, he was employed by the South African Revenue Service (SARS), where his responsibilities included establishing the Road Fuel Testing Unit, collection of excise taxes and overseeing all litigation concerning special cases. His career began at the Minerals and Energy Education and Training Institute (MEETI) where he was a Trainee Energy Policy Analyst. After MEETI, he worked at the Department of Minerals and Energy as an Energy Officer. He holds a Master's degree in Futures Studies from Stellenbosch University. |

Dr Crompton was appointed the Regulator primarily responsible for petroleum pipelines at the National Energy Regulator of South Africa (NERSA) in October 2005. He was reappointed for a second 5 year term in April 2011. NERSA also regulates the electricity and gas industries.
Prior to his appointment at NERSA he was a senior manager at the national Department of Minerals and Energy for 9 years. His responsibilities there included energy planning, petroleum products regulation, renewable energy and energy efficiency. He has advised Ministers of Minerals and Energy on several major policy interventions and pieces of legislation.
Before joining the Department of Minerals and Energy he worked at the Department of Trade and Industry and before that he ran the Minerals and Energy Policy Centre. He has been a non-executive director on several boards including CEF, PetroSA, Soekor, and Mossgas. In all he has a working association with the chemical and energy industries spanning 27 years. He has a PhD from the University of KwaZulu Natal in industrial policy.

Tony Twine joined forces with Econometrix in 1983, becoming a Director in 1986.
Although best known for his work in the multi-faceted Motor Industry, he has contributed to the development, either in whole or in part, of many of the forecasting models which Econometrix has developed. He has contributed to national government on energy policy, as well as having been intimately involved in the creation of development policies for several government departments.
Tony matriculated from Pinelands High School and graduated from UCT. From 1976 he studied further at UNISA while working for Mobil Oil Southern Africa where he worked extensively on demand models for gasoline and diesel. He later joined Datsun Nissan, where he successively worked as Senior Economist and Market Research Manager. Much of his time was spent on developing data systems, as well as creating and refining forecasting systems.
